Edrisa Musuuza, widely recognized by his stage name Eddy Kenzo, is a prominent Ugandan dancehall artist known for his infectious optimism. His journey in music is particularly compelling, shaped by personal adversity; he faced the tragic loss of his mother at a young age and experienced homelessness during his early years. These challenges led him to embrace music as a means of expression and escape, ultimately allowing him to refine his artistic abilities.

Kenzo gained initial recognition after being featured on the 2008 single "Yanimba" by Mikie Wine. This collaboration served as a springboard for his solo career, which took flight with the release of his 2010 single "Stamina." His distinctive sound resonated with audiences, leading to the successful launch of several early albums, including Ogendera Kunzisa (2012), Kamunguluze (2013), and Sitya Loss (2014). The latter album, in particular, expanded his reach beyond the African continent.
